Courtney Love has shut down rumors of a Hole reunion. After reports suggested she and bassist Melissa Auf der Maur were teasing a comeback, Love clarified in an Instagram comment that there are no reunion plans. She explained that her mention of a “tour” actually referred to Auf der Maur playing some shows and new songs. It’s unclear if that’s tied to the upcoming release of Auf der Maur’s memoir Even the Good Girls Will Cry.
Metallica has added even more dates to its upcoming residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The band announced a third round of shows, bringing the total to 20 concerts at the high-tech venue. The newly added dates include several nights in February, with tickets going on sale now. The expansion comes after overwhelming demand from fans.
Gorillaz made their first-ever appearance as musical guests on Saturday Night Live. The Damon Albarn led band performed their classic hit Clint Eastwood with Del the Funky Homosapien, and later returned with The Moon Cave from their new album The Mountain. The performance also featured guest appearances from Asha Puthli, Black Thought, and Anoushka Shankar.
