Billy Idol is to be honoured at the American Music Awards this year. The UK punk rocker just got the news on Thursday that is has been chosen to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award on May 25th. This will also be the first time Idol will perform a medley of his hits during the show and his return to the event stage in 22 years.
Good news and bad news from the camp of Blue Oyster Cult came out today. Singer and guitarist Eric Bloom took to social media to let fans know he won’t be performing for a period of time due to a need for recovery after surgery. The good news is, the surgery was concerning something that was “non-life-threatening” and it was a success. Bloom also stated his bandmate and temporary replacement, Kasim Sulton is doing an excellent job in his place.
The Rolling Stones did the impossible again, with the help of South Park. Using the technology from Deep Voodoo, a graphics company founded by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the Stones released a brand new music video for their recent single, “In The Stars”, making the band members look remarkably younger. The newest album from the Stones, “Foreign Tongues”, will be available everywhere on July 10th.
