Robert Plant revisited his Led Zeppelin roots with a surprise performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Performing with his band Saving Grace, Plant first played Higher Power before returning for a stripped-down version of Ramble On from Led Zeppelin II. The appearance showed that despite his recent musical detours, Plant can still tap into that classic Zeppelin sound.
Foreigner has announced the first single from its upcoming live album In The Eye of the Storm. A live version of Feels Like The First Time drops next Friday and features three eras of the band, with Lou Gramm, Kelly Hansen, and current singer Luis Maldonado all on vocals. The full album, recorded during the band’s 50th-anniversary concert, is set for release July 17.
Roger Waters is launching a Pink Floyd tribute tour featuring his son’s group, the Harry Waters Band, and they’re looking for a lead singer. The tour, titled LEGACY, will showcase classic Floyd material, and Waters says they want someone who can match his vocal range from the band’s peak years. Auditions are now open online.
