The Robinson brothers reunited the Black Crowes after years of their own feud, and Chris says their relationship may have served as a “barometer” for the Gallagher brothers.
Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready is releasing a new graphic novel and rock opera titled Farewell to Seasons. The multimedia project has been in development for more than 20 years and was created with filmmaker Cameron Crowe. The story follows a fictional Seattle musician navigating the city’s early ’90s music scene. The book will also feature an accompanying rock opera with original music written from the character’s perspective.
Phil Campbell, longtime guitarist for Motörhead, has died at the age of 64. Campbell played with the band for more than three decades and later performed with his group Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons. His family says he passed away peacefully after a long battle in intensive care following major surgery. They say his legacy and music will live on through the many fans he inspired.
