The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in hot water over a lawsuit from rock photographer Neil Zlozower. He’s claiming they used one of his copyrighted photos of Van Halen without asking him first. Zlozower says they “willfully and volitionally” lifted his image for this giant eight-foot display. His lawyers are laying it on thick, pointing out that the Hall should definitely know better since they’re a major player in the game. They say, “C’mon, it’s a big company and copyright issues are everywhere in this biz.”
Oh, and it turns out Zlozower has a bit of a track record with lawsuits—he’s filed over 50 similar claims before! Now, he’s gunning for some serious cash, aiming for up to $150,000 for each infringement. Rock on, right?
